Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using LiveFree Academy (“the Platform,” “we,” “us,” “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

These Terms govern your access to our website, courses, ambassador program, and all related services.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account or purchase a course. If you are under 18, you may use the Platform only with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian.

By creating an account, you represent that the information you provide is accurate and complete.

3. Account Registration & Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. Notify us immediately at support@livefreeacademy.org if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or engage in fraudulent or abusive behaviour.

4. Course Access & Licensing

Upon purchase, you receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable, lifetime access license to the course content you have purchased, unless otherwise stated.

You may not:

• Share, reproduce, distribute, or resell course materials
• Download videos for offline redistribution (offline viewing within the Platform is permitted where enabled)
• Use course content to create competing products
• Circumvent any access control or payment mechanisms

Violation of these terms may result in immediate termination of access without refund.

5. Payments & Pricing

All payments are processed securely through Paystack. Prices are displayed in Nigerian Naira (₦) and may include applicable taxes.

We reserve the right to modify course pricing at any time. Price changes do not affect previously purchased courses.

6. Refund Policy

Our refund policy is governed by our separate Refund Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. In summary:

• You may request a full refund within 7 days of purchase if you have consumed less than 30% of the course content.
• No refunds are available after 7 days or beyond 30% consumption.
• Exceptions may be made for verified technical failures on our part.

7. Ambassador Program

The LiveFree Ambassador Program allows registered students to earn commissions by referring new paying students.

7.1 Enrollment

Any registered user may join the Ambassador Program by completing the signup flow at /ambassador-join. Approval is at our discretion.

7.2 Commissions

• Ambassadors earn tiered commissions as defined in the Ambassador dashboard (currently ₦3,000–₦5,000 per qualifying referral).
• Commissions are earned only when the referred student completes a valid purchase.
• Commission rates are subject to change with 14 days’ notice to active ambassadors.

7.3 Payouts

• Minimum payout threshold: ₦10,000
• Payout schedule: Weekly, via the ambassador dashboard withdrawal system.
• Payouts are processed through Paystack or the designated payment method on your account.
• We reserve the right to hold payouts pending fraud review.

7.4 Fraud & Abuse

The following practices are strictly prohibited:

• Self-referrals — creating multiple accounts to refer yourself
• Fake or inflated referrals — submitting fraudulent or non-genuine student enrollments
• Spam or deceptive marketing — misrepresenting the Platform, using unsolicited messaging, or engaging in misleading advertising
• Commission stacking — using referral links on coupon or cashback sites without authorisation

Violation of these rules may result in:

• Forfeiture of earned and pending commissions
• Suspension or permanent termination of ambassador status
• Account suspension from the Platform

7.5 Program Modifications

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Ambassador Program at any time with 14 days’ notice. Commissions earned before termination will be paid out in full.

8. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users or staff
• Upload or share content that is defamatory, obscene, or infringes on others’ rights
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Platform
• Use automated tools (scrapers, bots) without our written permission

9. Intellectual Property

All course content, branding, logos, and platform design are the intellectual property of LiveFree Academy and are protected by Nigerian copyright and trademark laws.

Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our trademarks or branding without prior written consent.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LiveFree Academy shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform, including but not limited to loss of revenue, data, or opportunities.

Our total liability in connection with these Terms shall not exceed the total amount you have paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

Course content is provided “as is” for educational purposes. We make no guarantees about specific financial outcomes, employment, or earnings. Any income claims or student success stories are individual results and not typical. Your results may vary.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms. Upon termination:

• Your access to purchased courses will be revoked
• Your referral commissions will be forfeited if termination is for cause (fraud, abuse, or material breach)
• Sections 9 (Intellectual Property), 10 (Limitation of Liability), and 11 (Disclaimer) survive termination

13. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Any disputes arising from these Terms shall first be resolved through informal negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be referred to mediation in accordance with the Lagos Multi-Door Courthouse (LMDC) practice directions. If mediation fails, the dispute shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice on the Platform. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
